I am awake, I am alive, and today I am looking forward to a full “in-office” day.
No errands. No meetings outside the walls I pay for. Just me and my amazing admin assistant and a visitor or two, enjoying the vibes that are my company, the vibes that are Mishkwe.
Because I have said it before and I will say it again,
“You can’t replicate out there what you haven’t created in here”.
Diversity in a community cannot be driven by a committee lacking diversity in membership or process. Togetherness and collaboration cannot be taught by someone working alone. And healthy communities cannot be spearheaded by those not yet healthy.
My company – Mishkwe has Nish. Mishkwe has white. Mishkwe has been built and will expand via collaboration and the “Mishkwe Way” is all about respect, holding space, and hearing ideas shared.
My Mother often said to look inside for answers. If the outside isn’t what you desire it to be, perhaps it is time.
*Dancing to the beat of the metaphorical Mishkwe drum today.
