Walking Through My Body …

I smile as I walk the miles away on my treadmill, thinking of all of those who do not understand. “How boring!” they exclaim. “Why not walk outside?” they ask. They cannot understand how I can stare at the same spot, the same wall, the same paint, day in and day out. Little do they know that is exactly why I do it.

As my eyes stare at the same spot and my mind is freed from distraction, I am free to experience all that I am. I feel the blood cruise through newly expanding muscles. I pump my arms to the beat of the music I love, smiling as I feel my biceps tense and expand to their new size. I whisk my arms past my slimming waistline and giggle as the incline causes the muscles in my buttocks to tighten and grow hard with each new step.

As my body grows in health and vitality, my mind is free to explore as my imagination takes over, opening the door to creativity and memory. Some days my children come to visit me. On others, my Mother’s guiding spirit comes to calm my worries and enrich my soul. Some days, I dream of days yet to come, while on others, I reconcile what has already come to pass.

Yes, the same room, the same wall, the same treadmill, but thanks to imagination and awareness, never the same journey.

I love you!
HUGSSSSSSSS
