Like Mother …

I sat at my Mother’s table and explained why I had to leave.

The city held too many bad memories. Everything reminded me of him and the life he had walked away from. The kids were gone. I wasn’t working. This was my chance.

Please Mom, understand.

She did. I thought she would cry, but she didn’t. We talked and reminisced and discussed all the wonderful things the big city would hold for me.

Then I was gone.

And then she cried.

Now, she is gone and soon my Babygirl will be off, to live her life on her terms. She is headed where she wants to be, and I have no doubt that she thinks I will cry when she leaves.

And no doubt, I will.

But not until after she is gone.

I love you!
