Sandi Boucher

Bringing Canada together –

one conversation, one relationship, one speech at a time.

Sandi Boucher is an internationally recognized and much-loved speaker, thought leader, television host, seminar facilitator and best-selling author who has dedicated her life to indigenous empowerment and Canadian reconciliation.

Personally she has gone from being an indigenous woman desperately searching for safe spaces to one who creates them for others, from absolute poverty that had her selling furniture to feed her children to the owner of not one but TWO thriving businesses, from a woman who was desperately trying to find her voice to one whose voice now inspires a nation to reconcile.

And she takes none of it for granted.

Through her work, Sandi supports both sides of Canadian reconciliation by creating safe spaces, not only for indigenous peoples but for non-indigenous as well.

An Ojibwe woman who knows full well the devastation of colonialism, it is her wisdom, her experience, and her metaphors that have made Sandi Boucher an internationally recognized speaker and best-selling author. A proud member of Seine River First Nation, Sandi began her speaking career in 2009. Now more than a decade later, Sandi continues to empower change.

Past audiences include elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools; colleges and universities; First Nation communities and agencies; mainstream municipalities and businesses, along with countless national, international, and regional conferences.

For the full range of topics Sandi can speak to, visit the “Workshops/Seminars” page found under “Keynotes & More” in the main menu bar.

How it all began

Sandi started her work as a storyteller and inspirational speaker in 2009, after 25 years in the Employment and Training industry.

Thanks to her dedication to the cause, Sandi has travelled across Canada and as far off as Finland, sharing her message of empowerment for Indigenous peoples and respectful cross-cultural relations with all the nations of this great continent.

But her passion will always be her writing. Sandi’s first book, “Honorary Indian” which tells of her Mother’s teachings through Sandi’s life story, was released in 2010, reaching Best Seller status in 2013.

“Her Mother’s Daughter” followed in 2013, reaching Best Seller status in 2015.  In 2018, she released “The PATH”, a book and action plan designed to effectively guide all Canadians to and through reconciliation.
